  7. Prepare 3/4 tsp of cumin.
  8. You need 1 Tbs of oil.
  9. It's pinch of black pepper.
  10. It's to taste of salt.
  11. You need 1 tsp of minced ginger.
  12. It's 1 tsp of minced garlic.
  13. Prepare of sauce.
  14. You need 1 Tbs of butter.
  15. It's 1/2 C of heavy cream.
  16. Prepare 1/2 C of milk.
  17. You need 1/2 C of crushed tomatoes.
  18. Prepare 3/4 cup of water.
  19. You need 1/4 tsp of salt.
  20. It's 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper.
  21. You need 1 Tbs of sugar.
  22. Prepare 1/4 tsp of fenugreek leaves.

Butter Chicken step by step

  1. Wash and dry the chicken, then mix marinade spices with the chicken and put in the fridge for 45 minutes..
  2. In a saucepan combine all sauce ingredients. Cook on low heat for 45 minutes until sauce gets thick and butter separates, then set aside.
  3. Bake the chicken on a tray in an oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until chicken is tender and cooked..
  4. Reheat the butter sauce on medium heat and add additional 1/2 cup of milk..
  5. When the sauce comes to a boil add chicken and cook 10 minutes longer..
  6. Serve with basmati rice and naan bread..
