Ingredients of Indian style Butter Chicken
- You need of Marination.
- It's 500 grams of Chicken Breast cut into pieces.
- You need 1 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- It's 1 tsp of Coriander powder (optional).
- Prepare 1 tsp of Pepper powder.
- You need of Gravy.
- Prepare 2 of Onion (chopped).
- It's 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- Prepare 2 of green chillies.
- It's 1 of a handful of dried fenugreek leaves.
- You need 1 of salt to taste.
- It's 3 of tomatos (chopped).
- You need 15 of cashew nuts broken into small pieces.
- You need 200 grams of fresh cream or half and half.
- You need 1 of a pinch of sugar.
- It's 4 tbsp of butter.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup.
- Prepare 3 tbsp of oil.
Indian style Butter Chicken step by step
- marinate chicken pieces with salt, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder and pepper powder.
- shallow fry until golden brown.
- remove from pan and keep aside. in the same pan saute onion.
- add ginger garlic paste and green chillies..
- when onions turn golden brown, add crushed fenugreek leaves, salt, tomatoes and cashew nuts.
- saute for 3-4 mins.
- add enough water and cook covered on low heat.
- when tomatoes are well cooked, transfer to a blender and grind to a smooth paste.
- :- please make sure the mixture is cooled before you transfer to blender.
- heat up pan and add butter.
- add blended mixture and the chicken pieces.
- let it simmer so the chicken can absorb the sauce and wil be really juicy.
- add cream, tomato ketchup and sugar for balancing the taste..
