  2. You need 2 tbsp of butter or ghee and 3tbsp refined oil.
  3. Prepare 2 of onions.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of ginger paste.
  5. Prepare 1 tsp of garlic paste.
  6. You need 5-6 of Cashewnuts.
  7. You need 1 tbsp of white sesame seeds.
  8. Prepare 2 tbsp of curd.
  9. You need 2 tbsp of tomato puree.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of malai or fresh cream.
  11. You need 1 of the tbsp butter chicken or tandoori masala.
  12. You need 1 tbsp of kasoori methi.
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ajwain.
  14. It's 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  15. It's 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
  16. Prepare Pinch of orange red food colour.
  17. It's to taste of Salt and sugar.
  18. It's 1 cup of water approx.
  19. Prepare of Coriander leaves and fresh cream for garnishing.

Butter Chicken with a twist instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with 1tbsp curd,1tbsp tomato puree and little salt for an hour.Boil 1 onion, cool and make a paste of it alongwith cashew nuts, sesame seeds and malai..
  2. Fry the chicken pieces lightly and set aside.Add some butter or ghee to the leftover oil. Sprinkle ajwain and when it splutters fry 1 chopped onion.Set aside.Now add the onion paste along with other masalas, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, food colour, salt and sugar to taste.Fry and add the chicken pieces..
  3. Pour 1 cup water, cover and cook till chicken is done.Now add the fried onion, toss till masala coats the chicken..
  4. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, little butter and sprinkle fresh cream or malai. Serve with pulao, tandoori roti or butter naan..
