These Apple Dumplings are like individual apple pies and they are very easy to make.
I have tried many recipes for Apple Dumplings, and this is definitely my favorite!
Ingredients of Apple Dumplings
- It's 1 can of crescent rolls (makes 8 rolls).
- Prepare 1 of granny smith apple.
- You need 1/2 stick of butter (melted).
- You need 3/4 cup of sugar.
- You need 1 tsp of cinnamon.
- You need 2/3 cup of mountain dew.
Apple Dumplings step by step
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Core & peel apple. Cut into 8 wedges.
- Roll each apple wedge in crescent dough, sealing edges. Place in 8x8 ungreased cake pan.
- In small bowl, combine butter, sugar and cinnamon.
- Spoon sugar mixture over dumplings.
- Pour mountain dew on top of dumplings (gently, to not wash off sugar).
- Bake on middle rack, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
- * I use the sugary liquid on bottom of pan to top each dumpling.
- * I serve my dumplings warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream!.
